Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of 393 color and black and white photographs of DC Housing and Community Development construction projects throughout the District. Most images are of street or infrastructure projects. Of note are images of L’Enfant Plaza, playgrounds, and recreation center projects. The collection is arranged by the Department of Housing and Community Development project number.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains materials relating to Professional Restoration Inc., including contracts, completed works, awards, and photographs. Photographs retain their original order and have been arranged alphabetically by “job.” A few of the photographs contain additional information, such as a date (date stamped or sticker) or details specific to the job, but the majority are unlabeled aside from their classification within binders relating to certain jobs.

The collection consists of 1,416 photographs of Redevelopment Land Agency (RLA) construction projects throughout Washington, D.C. Of note are the projects related to the Southwest Waterfront and the repaving operations throughout the city.

Scope and Contents This collection contains a written narrative detailing the history of the United States Civil Works Administration (CWA) in Washington, DC, as well as 34 black-and-white photographs depicting CWA projects throughout the city in 1934. Following the initial report is a memorandum and table showing approved projects, estimated costs, and completion status. Scope and Contents

The collection consists of 585 house history folders of homes in the District of Columbia. The folders contain housing permit records, historical information about the house and its prior owners. The Collection has a digital copy of basic data of the house histories on an external hard drive.
